Not sure why the aversion to the Apple products. For my money, I'd be buying a used Apple at that price point rather than considering the other offerings.
I would not use an Apple if you gave it to me. Everything on an Apple seems difficult, clumsy and backwards to me. It is just a Ford/Chevy thing.
I have a iMac Desk Top Computer, I also have a HP Note Book Computer. They are both almost the same. On my iMac I use Safari, on my HP I use Firefox. On my HP it seems that everyday there is some kind of Emergency Security Update or Emergency OS software update.
On my iMac very seldom is there any kind of Emergency Update.
On my HP I run an Anti Virus Program. (Kaspersky) Every time I get an update on the HP the update always seems to have an Anti-Virus program that they want me to down load in the back ground, Norton or McAfee.
When I was running Windows OS it seemed like I was always getting Maleware, on my iMac none, on my HP almost every week.
I am going to get an Apple OS Tablet when I get one. After the first of the year I am going to do away with my HP Lap Top and go to a Mac.
My wife and I use the Square for our business, we use Android based phones, we are going to get a iPad Table to use the Square on.
Just my thoughts, hope you all have a great holiday season and safe travels.
