King Dome KD1500 and SWM8

Hi,New here. I have a King Dome KD1500 which can get Directv sat's 101 & 119. I have a Directv H25 receiver. My question is can I use the SWM8 and power inserter with this,if so how would it be wired? Right now I only have 1 coax from the dish going to the controller then to receiver (I was Dish Network). If I can Use the SWM8 will I still get all my channels I get when hooked up at home? Uugh! So confused.

  • There is really nothing on 119 so 101 is really all that is needed. If you don't have either service just have Dish installed in your house (be sure to have them install and extra 211K receiver somewhere) and then move the 211 to the RV as necessary.
  • Ok. After talking to KD, found out I would need to get a power injector as well as the swm8 kit with the power inserter. Also even after all this would only be able too get 101 and not 119. Going to stick with Dish in the rv and see what kind of deal they offer to switch to them at home.
  • Thanks Bill, I have been all over KD's website hoping to find info but guess I'll have to break down and actually call them. Matt
  • I know that KD has posted that some of their antennas will work with the SWM8 setup but you really should call KD to verify. If it does, you would mount the SWM8 on the roof as you need to connect both outputs from the dome to the SWM8 switch and then the one existing cable from the SWM 1 output to the PI29 inside and then from the PI to the receiver.
