Get used to it because there are huge changes coming. Waymo/Google is on the verge of finishing up with their autonomus vehicles in Phoenix. They converter thousands of Chrysler Pacificas. Kroger hooked up with someone to run a small van type vehicle which can bring your groceries or run over to your friends house and bring you the cell phone you forgot. Their minimum charge is $5.95 If figure you'd spend $3 or $4 dollars for fuel and your own vehicle it's not all that bad. I was filthy and sweating while wrenching on my truck when of course I needed a different socket. I would have paid $20 just to bring the dang thing to me.
My question about the whole autonomus vehicle thing was how do they keep it clean because someone could have barfed in it or urinated on the seat or took their flea bag dog to the vet. I then ran into an interview on Youtube where the guy said that a big market is going to be in interiors. They plan on making them with easily replacable recyclable interiors that they can quickly strip out. They will also contract with companies who clean the vehicles at some interval yet I have my doubts about the whole thing because they will have thousands of people going through these vehicles as they run 24/7.
I can see Uber with a driver in their own vehicle keeping things in order but I'd want to see the true autons work for awhile. Everyone isnt like us old timers and I understand many youngsters dont even get a drivers lic. They dont dream about getting a car and parking with the girlfriend, they just bring her home now. Well, the auton will drop her off and take home.....
