McD's app and kiosk
All these people standing in line to order who don't use their phones or the kiosk. Cultural change is slow.

I went in to a McD for the 2 for $5 thing and no one at the counter (even at 12:00 pm) and the nice early 20 something gal says I can take your order here at the kiosk.. Well I say I want the 2 for $5 deal and a small fry.. Takes her about 2 minutes to scroll thru all the screens to get the order done..
Still no one at the counter....
Then she asks how do you want to pay.. I say CASH... So she prints out a receipt and then says I have to go to the freaking COUNTER to pay...
"Why couldn't I just order at the counter and pay cash instead of using that dumb kiosk thing?" I ask... The response was "Well, most people only pay by debit card or use their phone to pay"... I said, "do you see how old I am? I don't do that stuff.. Yes, I have a 'smart phone', but I don't use it to buy stuff with".. She gave me a quirky look and just rang up my order and I paid in CASH...
Ugh... I'm not even that freaking old... 55.. I like the new tech just as much as the next old guy... But, I won't transact financial business over my **** phone... Sorry..
You lose that phone and just count your bank account drained... You have a "password" on that phone... Ha, ha... :)
