It's simply a unit that you place on your dash to reflect onto the windshield! All one has to do to eliminate the display is to place the
unit on a seat or console, wherever one wants it to be readily available to read off of the unit's screen itself.

No one HAS to have it displayed on the windshield!

Who said one has to press the windshield??? It ain't a fighter jet instrument!!!

ah if you aren't going to use this device to display on the windshield, why spend the $150 in the first place. and to touch screen you have to go back to the gps anyhow.
something for those who have to have gadgets regardless of functionality.

for that price you can buy a decent Garmin GPS with a real screen, not flashed up on your windshield. didn't Caddy or somebody else have that for speedometer, etc. many years back. did that succeed?

  • how do you use "touch screen" on your windshield? didn't see the display but if it isn't as good as the one on a standard garmin wouldn't want it myself.

  • I had the heads up display for my speedometer in a Nissan Altima back in the late 90s. I actually really liked it. The only problem was when I bought polarized sunglasses - since the HUD is a reflection, it disappeared!
  • One of the reasons for voice directions was so you didn't have to look at the darn thing. Now they stick it up there where you can't avoid it. There are enough things to keep track of in a person's line of sight, don't need a superfluous one.
  • It's a neat idea, but I was expecting to see the typical Garmin screen projected. That looks like an old Atari game. They must have had a limited budget or ran out of money on the design phase.
