I have the small 6- core Mac Pro with LaCie 1TB Little Big Disk Thunderbolt-2 Solid State Drive and HGST 4TB Touro Deskpro Hard Drive 7200 RPM USB 3.0 ext. I use 4K monitors for working with my 4K home videos using Final Cut Pro X . The Mac Pro is the first desktop I ever used that had no fan noise.
