OMG.
After another hour on chat, and changing the service address to Murietta CA, (LA) and nothing working, she "assured" me it would be fixed. Right, I got that story yesterday. She asked if she could help me with anything else.
"Yes", I said. "You've avoided my question about why I'm still getting Utah guide information." After some nonsense replies, she said "let me research that." A couple minutes later and voila, my LA locals are appearing!!!
So, bottom line, I had to hammer on these people for 2 days to get this done. Is this the face of the new AT&T customer service ??
Good job, congratulations. :) This summer I used chat 3 times to change the service address. In all cases the chat person was clueless and I had to insist on being transferred to a manager who made the change. Each chat required north of 1 hour.
I do not recommend DTV chat for service address changes.I also wondered if part of your DTV issue was related to no Q locals, so you had no locals and also did not have DNS. If there are locals like say Yuma or Lake Havasu City they would not interest me. So I'm happy with the LA or Phoenix locals.
