Nook For P.C. Help! How Do I?

To the member who posted a link to Nook for P.C. THANK YOU!!!

I am using a Gateway 15.7" laptop.

Windows 7

Firefox latest edition.

When I bring up The Nook Program, the font is much tinier than what you are reading on your screen right now.

I end up tilting the laptop 4" from my face and wearing 4.5 diopter reading glasses in order to see the print.

I tried "Control + " but that does not do anything.

Being computer illiterate there is something that can be done but tinkering around only brought frustration.

My brand new for-real Nook Glo Light and Kindle Paper White are waiting for me at the end of a 170-mile round trip across the border. Picking them up has to wait for three more weeks.

Is there a way to Band-Aid the number 4 font? I did something that brought up a heavily bordered 2 line magnification pane (pain?) but trying to read with this is an exercise in fumbling. Like watching a drive in movie through a telescope.

Thank you. This is my only form of night time entertainment.

  • I guess fumbling around I blew the page up and the settings went into the left margin. I de-fumbled myself and then VIOLA! went from #12 to #20 and YES! Oh my word! YES!

Thank you! You made my next three weeks :)

When I am bumbling in the dark (re: computer stuff) I do not pretend I know squat. Although it is a bit embarrassing. It's like being a quarter-horse trying to navigate a freeway on-ramp I guess.
  • Hi Mex,

    That would be me.

I think you might try left clicking on the text. I don't use the Nook myself. There may be an online manual.

    Is there a settings tab?
  • my nook for PC has a setings page and then a readers settings page where I can change the font and margins.
