BTW, I've had no luck with two car DVRs I've bought. Both bought from U.S. suppliers, and both returned for poor quality. Basically, unusable video.
I would suggest the G1W for a inexpensive dash cam, it has great video and does not have all the problems as the GS8000 with the Novatek as discussed HERE.
The cheap ones with the Novatek have poor video quality and have a problem with recording for a brief period, camera freezing and it just going dead, A problem I had on another cheap Novatek based dash cam.
I have recorded many hours of very good video in HD 1080 and 720p on a 32GB class 10 and also on a 16GB class 4 with the G1W and have no problems at all. I can read street signs and car license plates clearly with video taken by it. After watching This Video Compared to THIS VIDEO I can see that the G1W is vastly superior to the GS8000.
At nearly the same PRICE POINT as the GS8000 the best buy for the quality would be the G1W.
so you would prefer the G1W at your "pricepoint" link to the one I had my sights on? I thought I saw Novatek on the G1W?
