Yes, but the GS8000 Has a different version of the Novatek.

Yes I would prefer the G1W After reading this in the Revue

"There is a cheaper Novatek version of this camera for sale as well. The Novatek version has worse video quality and is not recommended with the growing complaints of reliability problems, we cannot recommend this camera."

That is the one you referenced which is, BTW the same seller that sold me the counterfeit GS1000,admitted it and refunded my money. after 3 months.
