My take-------
If you want something that just works, with minimal fuss required by you, buy the iPhone. iOS updates are frequent and are distributed to all devices with simple installation.
Android phones are highly customizable, but to take advantage requires significant "tinkering" by the user. Updates are provided sporadically and not for all devices.
My recommendation - Get the iPhone 6 (16gb version) and don't look back!
