problem getting files of HDD

You should be able to get around the permissions issue by using a different OS to access the files. Such as booting to a Linux distro on CD/USB flash drive.

To add an extra layer of protection to prevent an unauthorized person from doing the same, you can use Windows built in encryption EFS to protect your folders. Another OS couldn't access the data without knowing the user account key.

Read only has nothing to do with it. All files on a CD-R are read only but you never have problems opening to view them. Your access issue is a security problem. Here's a link to a MS site to get you started: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/Windows7/How-do-I-open-a-file-if-I-get-an-access-denied-message. Since that user folder was created in the previous OS installation, you probably have no current users in the permissions list.

Sometimes though with Win7 (and possible W8x) you will run into a another "protection" problem..

In a nutshell The Windows OS you booted up with will "see" the second drive with a bootable OS (same or different) and the disk manager will block all access to the "competing" OS drive. Supposedly this action is taken to prevent corruption of your Windows OS files..

So, if the drive does not show up at all you will need to Go to your control panel.

Select Administrative tools

Then Computer management

Then Disk management under Storage.

You should now see the second drive in the disk manager but in order to access the files on the drive you will need to force Windows to accept it (little fuzzy on how that is done since I ran into this once but you should be able to figure it out by at least right or left clicking on the drive in question)..

Aleady did that...initialized, formatted, tonight i'll have to change the path how windows finds the new folders, but that pretty straight forward

Windows has a number of "security features" that now make this relatively simple operation quite aggravating. Are you familiar with the built-in Windows backup program? It's called "Backup and Restore" or some such. I'm (fairly) certain that it's still in the PC versions of Windows up through 7.

I do have a back up HDD with my files,

Like I said, I always have backup, but since the original HDD was still in the case, I am using that to put the files on the new drive. It has all been fixed by changing permissions.

There is nothing to indicate that you ever created a backup. Your post specifically states that you are trying to recover directly from the old HDD. That is not a backup. That is a recovery model that can be unreliable and pain-filled in newer versions of Windows.
