The way the antenna element is shaped would definitely make it directional for UHF, so adding a Wingman to the back side would not do much.
A good point, Tom! And one I did not consider, although I did know what the Sensar internal layout looked like. Oh well, it started as a joke anyway... :R :B
An interesting point about the Sensar: While doing some inline amplifier testing a few days ago, I noticed that with the Wingman installed on my Sensar III, I get stronger VHF high and low signals from the back of the antenna, than I do from the front. For one distant station, it's enough to make the difference between a solid and an intermittent picture. UHF of course, is much stronger from the front as expected. Something to keep in mind when aiming for those "long shots".
