yes, it depends. In many cases I've been several miles out of range and ended up with 3-4 bars with my wilson 3W amp. Other times, slightly out of range and no luck. Terrain such as trees, hills etc. can kill ya. If you are 'line of sight" to a tower, your chances are much better that you can be well out of range and get a signal. If the tower is "over the hill and down the valley" well,......

and even line of site, if the cell tower has a directional pattern pointed away from you, maybe no luck. If it's omni directional or pointed your direction, better chance.

I have found that in some cases when I'm out of range with my setup with a trucker ominidirectional antenna, digging out the directional yagi with more gain, another 10db or so, will get me a signal if I can figure out where the tower is and get it aimed ok. Just takes time.

Maybe, maybe not.

We have that same kind of service at our house. (AT&T also)

This is also our internet service with an air card. It is 3G but much faster than our other choice, dial-up.

The Wilson Sleek 4g-A worked great, I purchased a second Sleek for DW to use in the rear of the MH to keep in touch with family, and for use at night.

Upgraded one antenna to the 12" magnetic. Both the 4" and 12" seem to work well.

As leaves begin to fall, it appears that the signal is becoming more stable. With the Booster, regularly getting 3 bars, and signal as low as -91, averaging about -99.

Has worked boosting the signal for reliable hotspot internet for both the HTC One and HTC Inspire.

Using 2 laptops, kindle and the phones for access.

It is reliable and just what was needed.

The problem is there are a number of different models of Sleeks. The oldest is 3G only. Newer versions that amplify 4G came in two versions, the -V & the -A, each designed for specific networks (Verizon & AT&T). The latest version has a switch that lets you choose the network - up for Verizon & down for AT&T. This version is the one that can be switched between networks.

Finally, both HTC One and HTC Inspire signals are being boosted.

Range -91 to -111, with a steady 2 bars and most times 3 bars.

I relocated the antenna to the highest point on the RV, which is the King Dome cover using 3m tape.

Works great for both voice and data.

Had an ole bluetooth earpiece, paired to both phones and works great.

Thanks for the input and information. Purchased the right product for the job.

No They are not . No amplifier on the market meet the new standards that come into effect on March 1 2014 . There will be no grandfathering only units that pass the new standards will be allowed to be sold . If it is deemed your current unit is interfering with a network , you will be asked to shut it down . If you do not comply end users are subject to up to a $10,000 fine.. How confident are you with those end of year release date projections?

Very confident in products I have direct knowledge of . I cannot speak for all manufacturers but I know all are working tirelessly to get new products that pass the new standards and them get them in the marketplace.
