Well I don't think we have any problems from W 10. We haven't done very much, just a few routes.
What brand and specs on the computer? I've got a gateway nv59 running win 7 and base camp but every time I try the win 10 upgrad I get the BSOD crash. - jamwayExplorerWe downloaded 10 to a seven computer a few months ago and we are using Basecamp with no problems.

If I had that choice I'd stay with XP; after 12 years of support and around 20 years of MS messing with it; it's a proven system.
As for the other comment on work arounds I'm trying to avoid that by finding out which make and models have problems so I can stay away from them.
On the Garmin forums one person couldn't get Base Camp to install until they removed a flash drive plugged into another port next to their GPS.
That was some kinda of driver conflict for that machine.
Switching everything over to a new machine and OS is bad enough without borrowing hardware compatible problems. - pulsarExplorerAre you using the latest version of BaseCamp (4.6.2)?
The Microsoft Community forum has this suggestion:Please try this workaround:
1. Delete the file "user.config"
2. Start BaseCamp
3. A new file is generated by BaseCamp while BaseCamp starts.
Tom - Win 10 is a great improvement.
I run Garmin Express through Edge for updates. It is much quicker and less prone to errors.
My newer HP laptops had to get Win 10 updates from HP before and after Win 10 upgrade from Win 8. - TenOCNomadStay away from 10 and go with 7. A proven system.
