To clarify , you have directv and are getting the LA west coast dns (distant network ).?? This is what it sounds like as Dish only offers small spot beams of locals and no nationwide feed. I could be mistaken but are you asking to change the directv from west coast to east coast dns ? I haven't had direct for some years so I can't say, but others should know At one time you could even get both but I don't believe you can anymore I think your feed is based on your home address , maybe changing service address? But others will know better if that's what you are trying to do.
