I had one installed onto my phone by best buy when I got the phone. It cost something like $5 to have it installed (in addition to the cost of the protector). I don't know if the protector is necessary, but in a year, it hasn't started to come off. Still 100% on and practically invisible. Guaranteed for life if it starts to peel off, they'll install a new one.
