should I upgrade to win 10?

I just upgraded from 7. It is a little slow. The mouse will freeze for a second or 2 when it has been at rest. Any suggestions?

Went from 8.1 on two PC's to 10, and much prefer it to 8.1.

However, their new photo app crashes for some folks, myself included. Very frustrating, and it happened every time I tried to use it. Microsoft is very aware of this issue, as evidenced by their many threads on how to correct the problem. I did the recommended correction, and so far, so good.

Don't do it unless you know how their continuous updating works. Every time you go to a different campground or other WIFI site you have to go into settings and set that connection to metered or you will use a lot of bandwidth or have problems with the download from a slow connection.

This worthless OS ate up a huge amount of my phone data.

Win 10 in it's current state is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. And especially for people using public WIFIs such as campgrounds.

Stay with Win 7. 10 does nothing for me that 7 didn't.

After a day messing with it it has got super fast compared to the way it was before. Came of of sleep a bit longer than I thought it would but it put an update on. Would have taken lots longer on 7. Pretty happy so far with the results. But maybe I could have cleaned up the Windows 7 and got some more speed out of it, but I wouldnt really would have know what to do.
Anyone just using Defender as a AV? AVG was really starting to take over so I deleted it.

Got mine up and running. Dont see much except I have to learn where everything is. Will take me 6-12 months to teach my wife how to run it. :(
edit: is getting faster the more I use it. Web browsing especially.

OP here. Well, my question is answered.
I have a seldom used tablet with win 8.1, so I upgraded to win 10.
Upgrade took a really long time. I started it yesterday, midday, and finished this am.

I could no longer use the camera on the tablet, and could not get my mail.
Went back to 8.1, camera & mail work again.
Won't be upgrading my laptop to win 10.

There's actually no utility in upgrading UNLESS you want Cortana or the Edge browser or you simply dislike Win 8.x. Win 10 isn't any better than Win 7 or Win 8.1.

I like Win 10 but there simply is no compelling reason to upgrade.
