If so,how do you use it? Do you hdmi out to a t.v. or just watch your tablet / laptop?
Does it work well?
Which model do you have?
The website is lame, looks to me like the mid level $150 would do just as well as the $300 unit?
I have a Hopper with Sling and use
DISH Anywhere.
The new
Slingbox M1 ($150) functions just like a Hopper with Sling, and
the M1 is a better buy than Sling's $300 box. However, while the DiSH Anywhere iPhone, iPad, Android apps are free, the Sling apps about about $15.
I've found that slinging (or place shifting) is a great media option to have as it essentially allows you to view your TV programming on multiple devices (smartphones, tablets, computers) anywhere in the world . . . as long as you have a fairly speedy Internet connection.
By the way, when your Slingbox (or Hopper with Sling) and the receiving devices are on the
same wireless network (like an RV hotspot), you don't burn up any broadband data.
