Task bar - Icons flickering when online

Running a Dell laptop with W7 and Firefox ... Verizon hotspot

While surfing, or reading RV.net, my task bar keeps flickering on and off, the icons blink. It also appears the desktop (the edge around the page) behind the webpage is blinking too ...

When I click on the task bar, it stops, then starts again periodically. Anyone have a clue? It's pretty distracting when trying to concentrate on reading something.

I run a Toshiba Satellite too, same set up, same Firefox, and it doesn't do it ever.

    With all the problems you have had with using computers, what are you doing with 2 operating systems?

    Did the person who finally got you set up with Windows7, in place of Windows8, install the Foxfire and test the system out?

    I would have stuck with Windows7 until you were absolutely sure it was working for you. If the flickering did not happen on Windows7 alone it is not a computer problem.

    The first thing I'd try is to update my graphics driver and see if that doesn't help!
