weight loss, calorie counting watch ?

I can see why sales are so good. We have the Fitbit One and Myfitness Pal App, the two work together.
My husband lost 40lbs. and is on maintenance. The first diet that has ever worked for him and I have lost a few pounds and I'm on maintenance, too.

Isn't fitbit in deep doodoo because of rashes? I'm hearing words like class-action, recalls, bankruptcy, etc.

I started using myfitnesspal four months ago. I'm doing nothing else - no exercise, eating the same foods (healthy and unhealthy - occasional McDonalds, Applebees nacho platter, Hostess, etc). I've lost 42 lbs in 4 months; my goal is to lose a total of 90 over 12 months.

Congratulations! The reason I have the Fitbit One is because the more I walk the more extra calories I get to eat at the end of the day. Even better if I ride a bike. :B
  • I thought it was about something called Wearable Sales.

They did a massive recall on the Fit Bit Force. I have owned 2 of them with no irritation issues. The back is metal and some (very, very, very few)people have experienced a severe rash related to nickel in the metal. It was becoming their most popular item and I'm sure this recall is going to be a huge financial hit.

  • I have never given up on a wearable but I have had them give up on me. The last two pedometers I owned ended up coming off and getting run over. I had one Fit Bit Force come apart and and I am still waiting on a refund. I have my second Force that I bought just before the recall and plan on keeping it until it dies.

I love this quote from the article: According to a January study by Endeavor Partners, more than half of all people who’ve purchased a wearable activity tracker have given up on their devices.
That sounds like a pretty fair percentage actually, since I would imagine a larger percentage than that have turned those treadmills, and home gyms into clothes hangers. :)

    I'm sure it's true.
We have 5 friends that are doing quite well on the Fitbit One, except for one. Actually, he just uses the Fitbit One off and on because he doesn't have to loose weight. :B I have no idea why he bought it.
