smart TV needs internet connecction to use the smart features, netflix etc..
web browsing on a smart TV is a PITA
dumb TV .. is better. just get whichever model you like best
we have Vizio, before that Olevia
we would still be using the Olevia, if the cheap mount i bought had not broke and dropped the TV busting the display
get which ever TV you want
but don't cheap out on the mount, IF you decide to mount it someplace
some people just carry the tv on the bed, then set it up when they park
