It is 5g, not 5.8, the 2.4 spans from about 2.402-2.472 ghz, the 5g from 4.92 to 5.825 - with a lot of gaps. Mostly 5g is from 5.18-5.32 ghz & 5.745-5.825 ghz. Some equipment allows 5.5-5.7 ghz.
