Go ahead and switch. As long-time computer users with all manner of OSs since the late 70s (TRSDOS, MSDOS, Unix, Win 3.1, Win 98, Win XP, Win Vista, Win 7, and Win 8.1), we've learned that there is a little learning curve each time, but also benefits. Believe it or not, they have improved with time!
