- DesertMaxExplorerHi Bill, thanks again for your help. I appreciate the feedback on the cellular program. As for my sat quandary, I will try option #1 which of course is available.
- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIAs to the receiver setup, I find it hard to believe they have removed option #1 when your picture shows you are using option #2. My current HD receivers show that option so I can't imagine why yours does not.
- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IINo, I would not recommend using any device which requires cellular access to watch TV. Satellite is really the only logical choice here if you will be traveling.
Many posts have been made about this being a MLM scheme including many calling it a scam. Even without that, it would be so expensive to find a good cellular plan that works everywhere you plan to travel and allows enough data for regular TV viewing I would still not recommend it. - DesertMaxExplorerThanks Bill, I am interacting with you exactly because of your obvious qualifications and hope you don't mind a few more questions..
The Triniti Ursa: Do you like it, would you or have you used it and would you recommend it luck notwithstanding?
On the old Movin View, we have a disconnect. I totally trust that you yourself understand what you are instructing me to do but I don't find the choice you want me to make.. It's not among the multiple choice choices??? - Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIAS to Trinity, it is a cellular based service which "only requires" a good 3G or 4G service (which you need to pay for). Good luck with that!

Hey Bill, thanks as always up front.. Ok in the area of the 3 choices, the choices I made as shown in the photo are all that are available as choices. The DTV Tech told me that the choices shown are the correct choices.
If you know something about some way of making other choices in this area such as 18" only as you have suggested, then DTV did not indicate this and I would like to know it.
That tech also did suggest metering the coax which duplicates your recent recommendation. I will do that and let you know what I get..
PS... Have you heard of Triniti Communications and their USB "Ursa" aparati? Finding lots of interesting tech features on YouTube
especially in the area of free Internet tv etc.. A grain of salt!
Many on this site know of my background including a former Winegard trainer of RV techs throughout the Western US. Take my advice and you will have a much better chance of having a good experience with your Winegard dome. 18" round will get you the 101 satellite. That's all you want and all you need. - DesertMaxExplorerHey Mods, we were almost done with this string. Seems it went on an adventure and I wouldn't mind reading Bill's response.. Any idea why or where it went..?
I'll just go to all his activity I guess.. - Dick_AExplorerMoved from Tech Issues Forum.
