It is not an in-motion unit. The original unit installed by Tiffin (probably in late 2011) did not do the seeking noise but the current unit was provided as a replacement last October by Winegard because of a different problem.

You bet I do, Bill! The Datastorm has been moved from the original 2006 Itasca Sunrise to a 2012 Phaeton and I use it daily.
