winegard sensar pro

I got a winegard sensar pro went to hook it up today followed the directions but, I cant get it to work. Im not sure if I did something or if the unit is bad. Hooked up the 2 wires the hot and ground wires but the unit would turn on. Hooked the old unit back up to it and it works fine. Any suggestions?

    12V DC wires not reversed are they?



    If not reversed and you have 12V DC power then Sensor Pro should turn on.

    you DID push a button (any button) on the sensar pro? for any of the led's to light up, you MUST push a button. it's still on, but in low power mode. the LED's don't stay on, they turn off after a few minutes.

    No the wires arent switched around and yes I pushed the select button to turn it on but, it doesnt turn on.

    And you verified that the 12V is powered....

    If so then sounds like sensor pro is bad.

    Well I put the old wall plate back on and it turned on so the power is there. Frustrating

    Im so frustrated now. I hooked the original wall mount back up and the power light comes on but, when I do a channel scan on the tv it cant find a single channel now. My guess is the booster isnt working but, I dont see a fuse blown so Im wondering would there be a inline fuse someplace?

    Ok I found a blown fuse and now the sensar pro turns on but, I still cant get any channels

    How many channels were you getting before?? Do you get any with the old power panel?? Any chance that you blew the antenna with a surge that killed the fuse??

    I use to get about 24 channels but not a single one now and I don't see a fuse that's just for the antenna.
