Much good advice above. Conserve water when you are not on full hookups. We carry a 30 gallon food safe water container and if your rig has an option to pump water in, as does our Jayco, you can get water anywhere, truck it to the side of your fiver and have the pump pump it out of the container into your fresh water tank. It has saved us many times when the water spigots are so far away.
Conserving water; learn to take Navy showers. Invest in baby wipes to sponge bath with when you are short of water and take showers every other day if you can do so. When doing dishes, remove all residue with a napkin into the trash, fill sink with hot water, wash dishes - sparingly. Drain water. Insert sink basket and then save the rinse water for the next load of dishes, just add boiled hot water to get the water hot. Thus you are not wasting water.
Look into Harvest Hosts if you are traveling around from day to day. We have enjoyed some of the places we have stayed.
have some rainy day games on board, pack a picnic basket and cooler when you are out daytripping to save on having lunch out.
