clicky Not that I'm saying its a good idea but several states do allow it.
I have to wonder when that law was changed. I took traffic school in 1984 before I got my badge and it was forbidden then. I turned my badge in around 1994. At that time, passengers were forbidden in trailers and sitting on the side of a pickup bed. They could sit IN the bed, just not on the sides.
