I'm curious what's worked well for others.
Hmmmm....bare hands and then soap and water clean-up is all I usually use. But should there be a messy situation, I'll use the nitrile gloves. But it's a rare situation where I need the gloves. Perhaps there's something about your procedure that needs a look-see?
Agree!
When I started RV'ing I bought the box of gloves every RV website seems to recommend. I still have most of the gloves left - there's just not much mess with dumping the tanks as long as all your gear is in working order.
Work slowly, remember to rinse your dump hose after using it, and simply wash your hands when you're done. Don't feel rushed by the people that may be lined up behind you - when it's their turn they'll likely take their time too.
As disgusting as the tank contents may appear to be, there's nothing in there that wasn't alraedy in contact with your body (or the person/people you're sharing a small RV's airspace with) sometime recently.
