Glamping and Dolling Up Vintage TT's

I'm back to work, so I've been scarce. Putting in some OT too.

OMG.. my breath was taken away with the fantabulous photos posted!! Loved these beauties to infinity and beyyyyyond! SOOO DANG VINTAGY COOL!

I've ck'd out each link shared, and some of the websites I've already seen. I can see the amount of endless labor that goes into breathing proper life into these units.

This forum has a vintage TT section, as well, it's just not very active. It's a subcategory of travel trailers.


You can see trailers on the main Sisters on the Fly site, as well.

I'm a member of the Sisters on the Fly. If you google that you'll see photos of many vintage trailers as well as videos. There's a vintage, glamped trailer on Ebay now, and they have a video.

There are several Facebook glamping pages where you will find a large amount of trailer eye candy.

Some members of SOTF, myself included, did not go the vintage route. Trips and events with the Sisters are a ton of fun! Here's my Daisy:


Here's a photo of my T@B and the "Bookmobile", owned by fellow SOTF, Rebecca Amerson, a retired librarian. The books are titles she submitted because they're her favorites. The bumper is a pencil. All details of paintings were submitted by her and have meaning to her.

Thank You. I was thinking it had to be in that era, because, like I said, it looks very close to the Shasta my dad bought in 1961.

I'm no expert, but I believe this is a 1960 Shasta.

Google that and you can decide, but I think I'm right.

Yeah, I would be all over the Comet. If you restore it and pay attention to insulation and sealing, you could heat it with a light bulb. Our materials, today, are much better than 50 years ago.

Certainly not a "glamper" but this is a 63 Comet that we drug out of a tree row a few years ago and cleaned up.



I thought the front windows were the coolest thing about it, the way they go around the front corner.



It has had it's share of leaks over the years and is rotting away, I think it would be cool to rebuild it someday.

Love that red & white pair...saw something similar in Yellowstone a few weeks ago, but a combo in turquoise and white. Very snazzy.
