How long sewer hose?

Measure the distance from the dump valve on your camper to the tip of the front. Then measure the distance the distance from the dump valve to the tip of the back. Take the longest distance and add 10 feet.

Let's say that distance totals 25 feet. Getting a 5 foot section might be difficult, but 3 10 foot sections are not. Then purchase quick connects between each hose. Use only what you need for your current camp site. But if you need the distance, you can hook the up together. FYI, I carry 50 feet all the time. I like to be prepared for any camping siuation.

For those who say you don't have to worry about the distance because the dump pipes are always right beside your camper ... well ... that's just wrong. Sometimes the dump is at the front of the camper or the back of the camper. You want to make sure you can reach no matter where it's placed. Don't believe me? Look at this campsite we were at a few years ago. These are 2 - 20 footers connected together.... get the idea?

We have a 10' and a 15'. Occasionally we have needed them both, can't remember ever needing more.

We have two 10' sections with connections that we carry. We have been able to hook up at all but two campgrounds we have been to in over 15 years.

We have a Rhinoflex also. I think it is 15' and only once in the three years we've had it was it almost too short.

I carry and use a 25' hose about 30% of the time. This is a 15' and a 10' extention. Plus I carry a 10' Valterra hose for most of the time. (The long one is a Polychute...they last a long time).

We carry two 10 footers (RHINO) that connect together, and these have met all out requirements so far. I have started carrying two lengths of plastic gutter, instead of and in addition to a sidewinder.

You never know where the sewer inlet might be.....Have seen some real weird locations. Have a good look at your site before setting up. I carry two 10 footers......

I use a 20' and keep another 10' as spare; have needed it several times over the years.

I full time and it does not matter how much you pay for a CG or site or how upscale the CG is.

There ARE going to be times you will need more hose. Sometimes it's a fact of what you might have to go around like if you like tree'd sites.

That's why I switched to the Rhino Sewer Hose Kit. It is rigid and collapses and you just pull open what you need or stretch it all the way out. Best part is how it completely collapses to store in the bay.

Add a Side Winder to you arsenal and you are ready for winning any attack on hooking up to a tricky CG sewer opening.
