Jeep Liberty 2011 Tow Package
User guide tells me with the Tow Package I can pull 5000 pounds, without 2000. How true is this? Will I kill my car if I pull a 4000 pound trailer without this? Is up hill the problem?????? What...

If I remember correctly, back a few years ago when I was looking at jeeps as tow vehicles, there was a sentence in the manual that mentioned a 32' frontal max max when towing. That's about 8'X4' .
Just checked... see page 403 of your manual.
Edit to add - with the trailer tow package it can be up to 8'X8' or 64 sq. ft.
