Jensen TV's

I use the $150 or less 22-inch VIZIO HDTV in my setup.

Some folks like to get a 12VDC TV so it will run from the batteries. Some of these can be quite expensive for mobile 12VDC TVs. My answer to this is to use a low wattage PURE SINE WAVE Inverter connected to the battery which will produce the required 120VAC to operate any of the big store brand TV sets.

We replaced both of our "boat anchor" TV's with Vizio led tv's. The weight of an led is much less than lcd...Basically, any tv that you like will do well.Just be aware of compatibility with existing components in your rv; ie, surround sound system,vcr, dvd, if applicable.

If you are always connected to 120v, get a 120v TV that fits your needs and budget. If you boondock or dry camp a lot, you can get an inverter to power said TV, or buy a 12V TV. Me, I bought a Best Buy's house brand, Insignia. Their $99 TV had a 12v power brick. I bought what I needed from Radio Shack, and it now runs off my 12v system.

Has a "brick" in the power cord, converts to 12vdc.
I have this TV in my MH.
The only downside is sound. Kinda fuzzy sometime.
Bur overall is a good TV to run at 12vdc.

The Jensen TV that came with our Minnie is OK, but I certainly wouldn't buy one as a replacement. For 120 volt operation, buy the TV of your choice.

Junk the Jensen. I went with 2 Vizio's in our C.

No, you don't need a Jensen.

Many LED TVs in the under 26" size come with an adapter (wall wart) to convert the 120vac to 12vdc or 14vdc that runs the TV. These can be run without the adapter directly from the 12vdc in the RV.

Look at the adapter before you buy, it should be marked with the output voltage. Make sure it is 12vdc or 14vdc.

I bought two Insignia TVa and a BluRay player from BB and all have the brick. I carry the bricks but don't use them and it has been fine for us. The 24 inch has a much better picture than the 19". The only problem I have had is with the RG6 cables and the19" set. To keep things neat, I bundled about 6" of extra 12VDC cable next to the RG6 cable and in poor signal areas, that set had fuzzy channels. I used three different cables before I found one that worked trouble free. I can't offer an explanation for the cross feed with a shieled cable but with a new cable and separating the power cord and the antenna cable, I no longer have a problem. And by the way, I do have some experience in electronics and it doesn't make sense to me, but it has solved the problem.

Another benefit of the BB sets, they were inexpensive, the 24 " was $129.
