JENSEN TVs

Do what we did. Find the nearest trash container and drop them in.
Over $$ TV's.
We had all kinds of problems with ours. Cheaper to scrap and replace.

Go to Walmart or BestBuy and purchase a quality TV that fits the existing space and take it home.

Is the TV hooked up to Cable?
Try in on the antenna, set to Air and try to scan.
It is probaly locking up while looking for channels it can't find.

But I do agree with changing them to a differnt TV when possible.
YOu can typically fit a larger size in the same space as the Jensen was in.
I replaced my 26" with a 32" in the same space.

Jensen name is nothing more than a very cheap import which is branded with the "Jensen" name.

Now days brand names mean absolutely nothing, each and every old brand name in electronics are simply throw away stuff, often just barely getting past the warranty. Even the ones that are under warranty make it so difficult and expensive to get it replaced under warranty it still isn't worth messing with the warranty.

Scrap heap is even to kind for these worthless pieces of garbage.

Go shopping and forget about attempting to "fix" them.

This is pretty well true for most, not all but most electronics today. Even if you can find anyone to look at it the charge for just diagnosing the problem is generally half as much or more than a replacement.

I found that the Jensen televisions in my new 5th. wheel are made specifically for the RV and marine industry by ASA Electronics. None of the IR codes that Dish Network remote control or any of the universal remote controls list for Jensen will work to program the Dish remote. This was confirmed by an ASA tech. Now I have to use two remotes to operate my Jensen. Had I known all this I would have purchased the 5th. wheel without any TV's at all and installed what I wanted.

Unfortunately my unit came with 3 Jensens. Their remotes or the TV IR receiver are the worst. Unless you have a perfect aim and are less than 10' away, they don't work. I was able to find a code that worked with DirecTv remote.
The only good thing about these TVs is they have a very good viewing angle that is hard to find in a cheap TV. It works well in an outside RV application where you have steep viewing angles.

Yes, it is hooked up to cable and yes, it happens when we attempt to scan for channels.
