I like to let mine drag along the road for a few miles to air out :)
I see many other RVers do the same thing judging by the number of sewer hoses I see along the interstate.
The sewer hose is one RV part I have never seen next to the highway. - Travel_n_WrestlExplorer

x8 5 X 5 vinyl fence post strapped to the bumper with metal pipe hanger last night. Planned on painting it black, but doesn't look terrible white. May leave it the way it is. Drilled holes in both end caps for ventilation. As for cleaning them...well, maiden voyage is this weekend :E - malexanderExplorerDump the black tank, then the grey. Rinse the hose with the fresh water hose just before unhooking it. Then roll them both up together and store them in a plastic tote large enough for both of them to fit in.

X7 Just bolted it on last night - JimK-NYExplorer IISince I store the hose under my bumper, I found a great use for the for the bumper storage area that was designed for a hose. I found small canvas tool bags at Lowes. I hook them together in a chain and push them into the bumper. They carry seldom used items such as nuts, bolts, screws, spare wiring, caulk scrappers, rarely used tools, etc. On the chain I have also included a sven saw and a spare extension cord.
I just cannot understand the reason to use clean, dry storage to hold a wet dirty hose. - tenbearExplorerI do as the others have said, but after I have rinsed the hose with the grey water, I rinse the hose with fresh water.
I then hold the hose vertically and compress the hose, starting at the top, forcing any water in the hose to drain out. I then store the hose in the rear bumper like storage tube.
I have not had any problem with rusting the hose storage tube, or with odors from the hose. - LarryJMExplorer II

:B X6 :B - TvovExplorer IIDump the tanks doing black tank first, then grey tank. Grey tank water will do most of the "cleaning" of the hose. After dumping, I rinse out the sewer hose, usually with the hose that is attached to the dump station (the one with the sign that says "non-potable water").
If I used a grey water hose at the campsite (grey water only drains are common around me), I just rinse it with a regular hose. Most of the grey water should just be soapy water.
I slide the sewer hose into the square rear bumper of our TT. Been doing it for almost 14 years with no problems. There is a little rust in there, but very little. No smell that is noticeable with just the rinsing after dumping. Works great for me! - cpaulsenExplorer

Everything gets fresh water bath and put in the tote when it's time to go home.
