Yes use the potty for over night, just do not dump it there, wife turns pup on, does her business washes hands turns pump off, gets back in bed and then proceeds to kill my kidney with a good knee jab.
Also make sure you at least have a half tank of potable water in the water tank while on the road, when you get to the camp ground hook up and then dump your tanks.
Those that gave you that information probably do not have RV's, we had a VW bus and wife used the porta potty the same as the toilet in the RV that's what they are for, then there are those that only use the RV as an expensive bedroom, they do not use the bathroom or the kitchen, go figure?
