Not at 3 a.m. they can't. Your retained lawyer will tell you what steps to take in order to not dig yourself deeper.
The correct things to say, in this order are:
1. I feared for my life!
2. I am having chest pains! I think I am having a heart attack!
And a distant third:
3. I want to talk to a lawyer.
However the first two should be enough. They have to treat you like a heart attack victim, stop questioning you and rush you to the hospital.
