You are obviously much better trained than most who own firearms or are an ex-LEO. Too many that adopt the "better 12 as my jurors than 6 as my pallbearers" fail or refuse to realize that there are many components to using a firearm in self-defense-as well as many repercussions. And I say "most" from 40 years of experience in the area from being trained myself, becoming an instructor, coaching a jr. rifle program and holding office in the state affiliate of the NRA among other organizations. Oh, I forgot I'm a former hunter ed instructor too.
Mowermech, take a chill pill. One life lost isn't more important than another-it's just to drive a point home. It worked-it caught your attention. And no one cares if you carry or not-no one asked. I'm merely pointing out that if you take another's life you just can't walk away and not be affected either emotionally or legally. I've been told multiple times by LEOs that if you kill someone and walk away without feeling anything it's time to leave the force.
