I'm with the others; no, no, & no.
I would add that my awning is retracted if it appears conditions will warrant it. I do not wait until it is too late. Like sailing, when you think you need to put a reef in your sails, it is probably too late. Of course, my awning is electric so it's rarely too much work to push the button. :)
