What camper to tow with 1/2 ton and decent MPG

I have got to agree with tatest. The mileage you are achieving with your truck tells me that it either has a mechanical problem or that your foot is way to heavy.
I have a half ton with a 5.7 and in normal driving I am at 18+, sometimes I can hit 20. Towing my 5000 lb htt I get between 8 and twelve averaging just a hair above ten.
Look under the hood or in the mirror for mileage improvement!
