- pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
To power the microwave two 12 volt agm batteries would be better than two six volt flooded batteries.
Four six volts will may do the microwave.
A 1000 watt load represents a 100 amp draw on the battery bank. - HVFDFIREFIGHTERExplorerPlanning on power A few 100 watt cfl bulbs so only 23 watts each total 115 watts, maybe a fan 200 watts I am guessing, led tv 50'watt DVD player 50 watt shuffle pressure pump 103 watts, radio50 watts,
total 500 watts or so.
Maybe a coffee maker, toaster, or microwave -all about 1000 watts each but not all on at once. - What size inverter are you thinking and what do you plan on running off it/
Remember there is losses when you invert the power within the inverter. - colliehaulerExplorer III

Correct but 2 six volt batteries will not power a heavy load through a inverter. You are better off running the generator and skip the inverter. Your camper should have a charger built in so all you have to do is plug in to the generator and it will charge the batteries although it will take awhile. You might want to look into solar to keep the batteries maintained while your not there and use the generator for heavy loads.
MY BAD! How about this?
To connect charger to battery bank and battery bank to inverter
2 6 volt batteries in series @215 amph each = 12volts at 215 amp hour
Bat A- to Bat B+
CHARGER+ to Bat A+
CHARGER- to BAT B-

Inverter- to BAT B- - BobboExplorer IIWhen I replaced my house batteries last year, I went with a pair of 6v batteries. No real reason other than I have read on here that they may be more durable.
It really doesn't matter a whole lot. 12v is 12v. 200 ah is 200 ah. Don't mistreat ANY battery and you will do fine with whatever you have/buy. - colliehaulerExplorer III

No this is not correct you would have a dead short that would cause injury and explosion!
Does this sound right?
