46 Month old Maxxis tire

Tread separation; it happens to all makes and models of tires. Your turn in the barrel. Buy a different kind of tire if you don't trust those and get on with gittin on.

Maxxis makes good ST tires but they still have issues from time to time.

Maxxis have a 5 year warranty. Make a warranty claim. What was the date of manufacture as you might have been sold old tires and your 46 month tire might have been much older.

could that tire have rubbed against some thing. ? I,d crawl under the rig and look.

Shifted belt/tread separation. At 4yrs old ide say you almost got the entire life span from them.

Check the date code. Bet they are older than you think. Also they are still a ST tire and I have yet to find a brand that you can reliably expect to get more than 5 years life.

If the tire didn't rub on something, Maxxis owes you a new tire.

workmanship for a period of six years from the date of manufacture."

There is More to this story...Write down the location of tire FYI. Its not always a simple as a name brand of the tire..

It looks like road damage to me. Maybe you turned too sharp and ran over a curb or something similar.

Looks like typical tread separation to me. I've noticed more reports of Maxxis tire failures on this and other RV forums in the past two years.

Still, many folks report ST tire problems after three years and you never know if the tires have been properly cared for. If it's warranted perhaps you can get a replacement, but I'd recommend you thoroughly check the remaining three before you get on the road, every time, and make sure your spare is good, too.
