I called Maxxis when putting them on my TT. They said if you buy directly from them, the tire SHOULD be no older than 2 years old when you receive it. If bought from a distributor, or online they have no control over it.
I bought 5 online, they ranged from 2 to 2 1/2 years old at time of delivery, per date codes. Now that 5 or 6 year warranty is more like 3 years.
