- Homer1ExplorerI put a ball hitch on the front of my motor home so I could launch my boat with it. Beats the heck out of wandering what is going on back there.
- jerem0621Explorer IIProbably would work for just moving around in a parking lot. Hopefully this was a staged set up as its at a service station. Not safe.
There is a small RV dealer close to me, While at their lot a few years ago I saw what appeared to be a TT moving on its own a few rows over. Caught my attention pretty well, so I went to investigate... seems that the dealer used a drive shaft driven lawn mower with a heavily welded and reinforced hitch on the back to move the TT's around the lot. I guess the maneuverability was pretty amazing. LOL
I would not have believe it if I had not seen it with my own eyes.
Thanks!

- valhalla360Navigator5th wheels are designed to have around 20% of thier weight on the pin. If you hook up to the back that probably translates to a lifting force of around 2000-2500lbs on the back of the truck. That means very little weight on the rear axle. I could see if you hit a bump, it could lift the rear axle completely off the ground.

No brake lights or tail lights
