Did a bit of resaerch for you.
Woodstock N.B. averages 109" of snow every winter.
A cubic foot of snow weights between 5 to 20 lbs depending on water content.
The roof looks like its 16x8 ft = 128 sq ft.
6" of snow = 64 cu ft
Could weight anywhere between 300 to 1200 lbs.
I'll bet you often get a Foot of snow or more in one day.
I'm in Ottawa, in 2007 we got 14ft of snow.
I know snow.
That roof will have a short life..... Just saying.
pessimistic group around this weekend. lol. just kidding.
Ty for the research. Lived here for 45 years. We actually do get the dry powdery snow more than any. We live in a valley and actually miss more storms than we get.
It is 14x8. I don't see why it wouldn't handle 1000 lbs of weight distributed over it's entire area. Although it will never happen. As I will be diligent in cleaning it off. I have nothing else to do all winter anyway.
