Allied (Nationwide) Insurance Roadside Assistance?

I received my insurance renewal for my Class C from Allied which is a part of Nationwide, it shows that it includes roadside assistance with towing up to 100 miles to service shop of my choice and the normal services (flat tire, battery,..)

This is included in my coverage at no extra charge, my question is has anyone utilized this roadside service for their RV? If so, how was the service?

Wondering if I could drop my AAA RV coverage. I don't want this thread to be about AAA roadside service.

Thanks,

  • That's not what my documents say. It states that I have to use their dispatch services or they will only cover up to $750. I will have to call them to get the details. It also seems to state it will cover toads if they are connected to my RV.
  • We have considered switching to Allied because we can save almost $300 a year with the only noticeable difference being a slower disappearing deductible. However, our agent explained that Allied's towing is not a dispatch system like our current insurance. She said we would have to find our own tow truck and then ask for reimbursement. Wasn't sure we wanted the hassle but would be interested to hear of other's experiences with Allied's towing.
