The only drawback I had going with my F150 OEM Brake Controller was it was tied to my truck computer/speedometer and other things and when the speed was below 10MPH I think it is was the OEm BRAKE controller would disengage. The bad thing for me was I would not be able holding my trailer brakes ON being stopped at an inclined stop sign by just pushing down on the brake pedal... I did have an override using the OEM thumb lever... It seems to apply brakes to the trailer whether it was moving faster than 10MPH or not...

Other than that I have been very happy with the OEm F150 Brake controller... This is what happened to my 2008 trailer and my 2010 F150 with OFF-ROAD package at any rate...
