In the end, You will believe what you want and discard the rest anyway,, and you will find a reason for justifying your decision… so just do it…
Actually, that describes you.
I wrote:
The sticking point for me is trying to understand that
" PSI is obtained from the inflation/load chart for the tire and using that pressure plus 10 PSI"
is equal to
"cold inflation pressure by 10 psi (69 kPa) above
the recommended pressure for the rated maximum load".
Goodyear says the latter.

I asked, but you do not explain what I read wrong. You only answer what you want to answer. C'mon, exactly what phrase in the Goodyear reply did I misread.
So far we have had a civics, poli-sci, corporate conspiracy theory and a history lesson.
The reply says what it says until someone can explain otherwise.

I have not questioned what the words are…
I interpret them different than you because I don’t single just the words I want to hear out, but try to interpret the full quote (ambiguous as it may be) and in context that I believe it was meant…
No one is requiring you to agree and you are free to interpret it any way you see fit which you should… but you should contact the manufacture of your tires, not the manufacture of another brand if you want precise answers…
I also indicated and said what I thought about the term industry standard and said why I felt that way, and how many of them come about, and again you are free to agree disagree, laugh at it, or flame me for it, none of which would change what you want to hear from me because in the end we still don’t agree… So please ignore my civics, poli-sci, corporate conspiracy theory or history lesson. ..
Do your own research, make up your own mind, justify it any way you want, and good luck, I wish you well…
Now we still don’t agree because I believe you are taking the quote out of context to make it say what you want to hear, and I still think the quote was written by a moron…
THE END...
