- MrWizardModeratorthat is not a lake
call it a tidal lagoon if you wish but that was the Pacific ocean, Pismo Beach Ca - wa8yxmExplorer IIIVideo was impossible to watch due to camera man jumping around like a mexican jumping bean on a pogo stick.
But I can say this from reading comments.> There are motor homes and there are motor homes. now I have seen some DP's with so much ground clearnace that I'm amazed they can cross a supermarket parking lot speed bump (in fact I think I've seen some that would hang 'em up)
But I drive a gasser. The floor my feet are on is above the steering wheel on the car that is parked beside it.. in fact.. Right about the top of the driver's door.
And cars and pickups were going through that lake. - RedRocket204Explorer

Not the way I would treat either rig!
Exactly. Everyone is commenting on the RV, but those trucks... what are those people thinking? Lived on the NW coast of Oregon for 9 years and could not believe the amount of people who would drive out into the water. That sea water gets splashed up everywhere leaving salt residue behind. I would not want to end up with one of those used vehicles because you know almost all those people did not attempt to rinse out the undercarriage as they didn't know any better.
And yeah, old video This is the Pacific Ocean, That is an RV Camper. Wait,WHAT? (05/16/13) - dodge_guyExplorer IIMaybe it was a cheap trailer with some damage? Maybe he figured might as well do it to a trailer that already had issues, instead of a new one! Lots of variables!

High tide going into the Oceano/Pismo Dunes. The biggest worry is not the waves coming in but the return of the wave back into the Ocean. As long as you keep a steady pace you can keep traction and no water comes in the trailer. Also the wider (longer) the water crossing the easier (it tends to be shallower). When the water is coming from land out to the ocean it tends to cut the sand leaving a drop off on both sides. Easy to drop into but sometimes tough to climb back out.
The last few trips there has been no high tide or creek crossing issues. The only positive of California's drought.
Maybe. But, it's salt water. It corrodes everything it touches. That thing was a rusted out mess in a few years.

It is very possible that they have removed all the insulation and belly fabric because they do this all the time. That way it will never hold water. Also, they are going fast enough that the water won't have a chance to get inside.
Either way.......you do what you gotta do! - MrWizardModeratorSeen that one and others, several times
High tide at Pismo Beach Calif
Probably happens at similar places on the gulf coast
